Yesterday was a quick moving day, so I didn't ask. I'll be asking someone today, at very least maybe they can have the doctor extend my card a month so insurance will help.

Today was a pretty good day. Competed a macro quiz and did a bit of planning stuff. Then I was asked to hang out with a fleet leader, who showed me how the system works, the things he can do, and showed me an overhead of the Winston drop yard and the Charlotte yard. Not too long after I ran out of places to go and people to see (for a legitimate reason) and waited for my trainer to get to the terminal. My trainer seems like a cool guy, he had me hop in the truck and he showed me the bunk(dang they are really high in the Cascadia!!), and the space I have to use while out. He has a fridge on the truck which is nice, so I can buy water to help keep me and him stocked in it. He told me he keeps his truck moving, and he is a semi lenient trainer. Basically he told me that the little stuff is just that, but the big stuff he will be fast to correct. I think I can deal with that. Everyone at the company that asked who my trainer was always said "oh he is one of the best" or "I think you'll like training with him", and he seemed like he knew exactly what he is doing, how to teach, and he seems to be known as a joker. I think I'm going to really like it here.

Devildog, I finally made some calls, and found a place that does it from $600, and wants $300 upfront. It's basically just making sure I don't have sleep apnea, so I don't need all the bells and whistles and all the stuff that makes my skinny wallet implode. I figure I'll go through my training period, and if I have a weekend coming up and I am low on hours, I'll call and set it up. If not, the day I get my truck, I'll call and set it up after talking it over with my fleet leader.

All they'll do is make sure I use a CPAP while in the truck. Luckily, I Cargo does install inverters so if it was to come down to that I'd just inform them of my misfortune and plug up and go on.

Today is the day of my first dispatch with my trainer. We have an 1100 mile run, and I am ready to get the the ice broken. I had trouble sleeping because it's like the first day of my first job, except the pay is a whole lot better and I actually enjoy this. I got my bag packed, I got my head on straight(it looks straight from here anyway), and I am ready to go get started.

Since yesterday at 2 things have been busy. 1100 mile multistop load that had the first delivery at 7am. I drove up and down mountains, in fog, in rain, construction and night time. My trainer seemed pleased with my driving, after driving 10 hours. I'm getting unloaded at the second drop and I'm off. I gotta say I'm loving it out here.

    Lonesome and DevilDog79 Thank this.

Stopped in to the Iowa 80. Let's just say it's a good thing I'm not an owner operator. On my way back down now, after 3 stops today. I'll update tomorrow. Or today, as it is after midnight.

As of right now I'm hooked to my next load, and waiting for 5 more minutes to pass so I can have my 30 done and get. 1200 miles driven by me since Sunday, and I can't hardly keep a smile off my face. And the miles I didn't drive, they'll put a smile on my face payday.

    DevilDog79 Thanks this.
