Them KW T680 are pretty sweet looking and roomy it looks like. I put in an app with Abilene but nobody called me back, figured it was because I had a year break in otr driving, why I ended up giving this oil and gas driving stuff a try since everybody here is hurting for cdl drivers.

Jarhead, call Sally in the morning.

I'm home. Thank God, one more day in this truck would have ruined me. 3.5 weeks is my limit, my wife's also. I got home last night at 5pm, left this morning at 6:30, was at my delivery at 7:45, empty at 9am and home at 10:30. My new truck, although brand new, came with an issue. I spent all morning Wednesday moving out of my Cascadia into my KW. When I was finished, I drove to the other end of the terminal to find my trailer. On my way, all of 300 yards, a check engine light came on with a fault code. I went to the shop and was told to bring it up to the KW dealer up the street. I got there at 11am, and 3 hours later I saw them bring it in, hook the computer up to it, and in 15 minute was done with it. All they did was erase the fault code. I went back to the terminal, hooked up to my trailer, then left. As I got onto 95, the same fault code popped up. I was about 15 miles south when it happened, at this point I said the heck with it and continued on.
As I was getting off 95 to stop at Kenly NC, a red triangle light that said stop, don't pass go, abort, beeping and flashing got my attention. I pulled in to the truck stop, got my handy dandy owners manual out and found out the reason for all the noise, I needed to do a parked regen. Really? on a truck that had 198 miles on it? Ok, I followed the instructions like a good little soldier that I am, did the regen and low and behold, all the noise and light display disappeared. About this time, Joe, the driver that got assigned my Cascadia, texted me 3 pictures of my old truck, looking ever so cool, washed, polished wheels and just looking large. I called into Tim and asked him if I could get my Cascadia back. I told him that my Cascadia's biggest issue in 9 months I had it was a broken armrest, this new KW hasn't made it 140 miles and I'm already having issues with it. Tim laughed and I took a deep breath and I continued.
Now let me just say this, this truck rides like a dream, handles great and is a pleasure to drive, I drove the rest of my trip home with a check engine light on and showing a fault code. Last night as I was getting home, the fault code went away but the check engine light was still on. This morning when I started the truck up the check engine light was gone. So we'll see how this plays out when I leave Tuesday. Meanwhile, here's a few pictures of the truck.

DevilDog79 and JohnBoy Thank this. -
Nice truck, JB! Hope the idiot lights "smarten" up and kinks get worked out. You don't need that kind of noise. Have a great time relaxing at home. I'm waiting to hear George is homebound. Guess he's still waiting to be off loaded at Dunn.
JohnBoy Thanks this. -
The company I'm with got me new Cascadia with a Cummins about a year ago. The first week, the engine light was on. Old Dominion changed a sensor or 2. Now it comes and goes as it wishes.
Nice ride, JB.JohnBoy Thanks this. -
Like yoda new kw... hurry up summer time

JB I have a question or actually this is for any of the Abilene drivers....I am 6'6" tall and weigh about 370. Everyone says I am built like an old NFL lineman...my belly doesnt hang three feet over my belt..lol my weight is equally distributed with my butt and hips getting a little more than its share....will i fit in the bunks on those trucks?
