Hey folks! I'm starting JB Hunt's orientation Monday, August 25th and thought I'd mention it here. I intend on coming back to the forum when I get back home to discuss everything about orientation and my first 28 days with JB. I signed up for the 28/4 account ... 28 days out, 4 back home. The trailer will be a dry van hauling general freight east of I-35. The starting pay for my experience level (3 months) is .41 cents a mile with a .02 cents fuel bonus. There is also a $2,500 sign on bonus. $250 on my first check ... $250 after 30 days ... $500 after 90 days ... and finally, $1,500 after 6 months service. I was told it is 75% drop and hook, in which I'm totally excited about.

Anyhow, I will give a complete review of my adventures in detail once I get back home. Cheers!

You should have titled this thread " First day of orientation " and continued on for several weeks and or months with trivial updates. Such as tire pressure readings, trailer numbers that you are doing maneuvers with and how many pages are int he JB hunt handbook.

Just kidding, it would be nice to have updates though. Good luck with the new gig and be safe.

Jesus that sounds horrible. If I was to do 28+ days out I wouldn't want to do just half the country. Why not do all states that way you're not getting crap runs.

you have no clue what type of runs he will do base off him doing half of the country for 28 days. His main concern should be getting thru the orientation process and make sure they honor his .41cpm which is pretty good and receive all of the bonuses he was guarante and gain more experience, since he only have 3 months
