Shortage of Drivers?

US Census reports or CB radio kvetching at truck stops?

 

shortage of drivers at what they are offering in compensation...raise the comp, and the drivers will come

 

That's ok with us ,that you see it like that ,we will continue making the big $ ,going home every day ,off on weekends
To get some fishing in ,a game of golf ,or going to gun range ,UNION JOBS are the BEST JOBS .....it's real simple

 

No , but Fedex has ads on craigslist all the time .... so yes even they are getting desperate it seems.

 

I take it back, but it was a pro Union statement, OK.

 

We all have to start somewhere , I mean yeah it would be nice to come into this industry and make 80k a year the first year , be home every night . Now lets come back down to earth for a second. Lol
We all know thats not gonna happen unless you fall into a local gig somehow and getting trained by them.

 

If you think there's a driver shortage pull into a Truckstop after 22:00 and find a parking spot.

 

I wonder if there's a shortage of recruiters? Didn't seem so when son started applying. He lucked out. Kid went with nicest recruiter. I'd already warned him against a few companies so at least he didn't go with the worst. He went by his gut feelng, which turned out OK, but you wonder...
