Cabbage is west bound interstate 84 coming into Pendleton. OR.

Donner is on westbound interstate 80 in California between Reno, NV and Auburn, CA.

Grapevine is on Interstate 5 northbound heading out of the Los Angeles basin. It's right before the Interstate 5/CA 99 split.

    Siskiyou I-5 OR/CA border.
    Hyw 58 West side-Oakridge.
    Hwy 26 West side-Govy Camp.
There others but most out of state trucks don't travel them.

I finally cabbage patched the other day . Light load - dropped a gear and the ride down and down and down went well . Thought crossed my mind about putting hands up in the air like going down a roller coaster . Then I thought - maybe better NOT . LOL .

Turns out that check engine light has been the EGR cooler plugging up. Recently fixed.

Thanks for this thread, I'll make sure while I'm in school or with a trainer they teach me how to descend without a jake. Sucks that even if you are as safe as can be the driver behind you who didn't catch a low enough gear can ruin your day. How does the driver who gets rear-ended normally fair when such a situation happens?
