I finally cabbage patched the other day . Light load - dropped a gear and the ride down and down and down went well . Thought crossed my mind about putting hands up in the air like going down a roller coaster . Then I thought - maybe better NOT . LOL .
okiedokie, truck_dwival and allniter Thank this. -
Turns out that check engine light has been the EGR cooler plugging up. Recently fixed.

Thanks for this thread, I'll make sure while I'm in school or with a trainer they teach me how to descend without a jake. Sucks that even if you are as safe as can be the driver behind you who didn't catch a low enough gear can ruin your day. How does the driver who gets rear-ended normally fair when such a situation happens?
-
Better off than the guy that rear ended you.
striker Thanks this. -
Maybe not if you get pushed over the edge and he doesn't follow you.
-
Didn't that happen in one of them trucker movies. 
