Dream Truck Stop

Extra restroom facilities on the backside of big parking lots. Vigorous enforcement of no-pee dumping policies (assuming that would be in place at a dream t/s). Oh, the smell of urine on asphalt. Trash cans everywhere. Lifetime banishment for those who litter anyway.
Nothing but quick and easy pull-through parking. Rest areas do it. Some truck stops do to. I realize there's a profit thing for buying the smallest piece of land possible and squeezing as many trucks as they can onto it. However, that's not being driver-focused. Late at night, in the rain, blind-side backing, super-truckers giving mocking play-by-play on 19...
More variety of food. More Mexican restaurants. Better pizza. Throw in some BBQ and Chinese food while you're at it. Fast food and comfort meat and potatoes gets old after a while... if "a while" means a week.

 

As long as we are talking dream stops.

1. Angled parking, in the right direction,.
2. Wifi strong enough to reach all corners of the lot. Free and high bandwidth.
3. Bobtail parking, separate.
4. Garbage cans by the parking
5. Reasonable prices in the store.
6. Roomy showers with enough hooks to keep all your clothes off the floor
7. Heated concrete lot for snow removal.
8. Anything to replace that RoadPro crap.

 

Well, since we have tossed reality out the window, let's go for gold!

1. Extremely fast Wi-Fi and 4g cell extenders. Some of these stops in bfe have ###### cell coverage.
2. Onsite truck wash
3. Full service laundry
4. Shuttle service to the big box stores
5. A movie room that plays movies from this decade
6. Legitimate medical services (dental, optometry, gp)
7. Truckers only area that is actually enforced
8. Bathrooms large enough to actually fit me and the old lady comfortably
9. If the shuttle is out of the question, make it close enough to a Walmart that we can pop into there to buy things we need
10. Healthy-ish food choices. At least have a salad or two on the menu
11. Financial services beyond comdata and western union. I'm sure one of these big banks would be willing to offer services to us
12. Charging a normal price for things. I understand that you have to make money too, but when we have to buy certain things to make our lives on the road tolerable, please do not price gouge us.
13. The fitness room would be a nice touch, but actually having fitness equipment in the fitness room would be an even nicer touch.

 

Truck only parking. No RVs, cars with trailers, or buses.

 

I'd rather just have a safe place to park(PLENTY OF PARKING) and sleep with good food and quality whatever services they offer, be it showers, a GOOD truck wash, etc. I am not planning to stay there longer than my mandated time anyway ... what is this? La La Land? lol

Pet wash for those who carry their pets with them on a truck

 

Oh and of course wash rack for livestock and refrigerated trailers

 

Mine likes the Pilot showers 3lbs fits nicely in my bag! Lol

 

My wish is for any truckstop to figure out a way to stop men from pissing any and everywhere they want. I am so over the smell of stale urine when I park - it cannot be escaped. F'in PIGS!
