I'm looking for an OTR company that allows large dogs. I have a 90lb Weimaraner. He's an awesome trucking dog, and I don't want to have to leave him at home. Does anyone know the details on H.O.W.'s pet policy? From what I've been reading here and on their website they sound like they might be a great fit for me. Is there a weight limit on dogs? Thanks.

So crazw...are you saying you opted not to go into NYC or not with Wolding? Sorry...new to this thread. I thought they had forced dispatch...

Try emailing Carol there in recruiting. I asked this question, she doesn't give a size limit, so maybe the large size is ok. ) Mine's under 15 so no big deal...)
"With regard to our Pet Policy, you can bring your pet with you after 3 months. There is a refundable deposit based on the size of your pet. It is one cat or one dog."

    Solarpower818 Thanks this.

Thanks 12String. I contacted them and the reply I got was, 80lb limit. They didn't mention the 3 month waiting period. Unfortunately in my current situation, I have to be able to take him with me ASAP, or I may not be able to keep him. I'm looking at Frey Miller now. 100lb limit and no waiting period that I know of.

Does anyone here work for HO Wolding and live near Tampa? Are you allowed to take your truck home on hometime?

They told me you can take it home if you have somewhere to park it. This would include trailer if you have one. Parking might be nearby walmart, etc, whatever you work out locally.

There's a thread in the trucking school section about TDI in Sanford Fl. and that's who he went with. You may want to post something there or send him a PM. You could always call Wolding too. They're not a big company so not many terminals or drop lots so I'm sure taking it home isn't an issue as long as it's approved and safe.
Good Luck if you go with them. I'd like to see this thread revived a bit.

Yes, You can take your truck home for hometime. You have to give them the address and info of where it's going to be. They only have the one terminal in Wisconsin.

Well...I'm out training right now. Dropped load in Bellemont. Waiting for a plan. It's been great so far.
