Just washed motor on truck and check engine light came on. After going through the fault it says it is crank pressure. Is this a major problem or maybe the sensor got wet?? Is it OK to drive the truck. Is there a way to check it out?
Just got my engine washed. Now my crank case pressure light sensor came on??? Help

Probably just need to change the filter. Shouldn't be a big deal.
Big Lou Thanks this. -
Its things like this that I never let anyone power wash the engine. All of that wiring is not designed to withstand that much pressure.

Yes true. I almost didn't let him do it. But I did and made the mistake. Drove the truck for 20 miles shut it off and now the engine light is off with no fault? Maybe water got into the filter area ? It seems fine now. Thank God! Does anyone know where the crank case filter is on a cummins isx 2010 peterbilt.

Disconnect the sensor, blow out the connector and plug it back in. I also think the code is from water intrusion into the terminals.
The sensor is item 16 of the drivers side view;

filter is on the drivers side at the front close to the top of the engine,,it is about 10 x 10 in. it might be behind the power steering reservoir , has about 10 screws holding it on ,,, let you engine dry out,,the sensor plug just got wet,,BTW the filter cost about $65. If your check engine light won't go out disconnect your batteries for about 2 mins and then reconnect,,it will reset your ECM
Big Lou Thanks this. -
Will resetting the em put the fault codes in inactive status? If they go into inactive status the truck should operate normal again?

Thanks guys! I changed the crank pressure filter. It had 90,000 miles on it. It was definitely black.

If you fix the actual problem, i.e. get the water out of from where ever it is that caused the code in the first place, the code should go inactive on its own and the truck should run fine.

What's the service interval on those.......?
P.S. I wash my engine (myself) weekly with a garden hose and simple green, power wash 3-4 times a year.....
Just stay away from the ECM .....
