LEARN TO READ A ####### MAP. What are you going to do when that precious little GPS crashes and u can't stop somewhere to reset it???
The other day I picked at customer id never been to before. Before I left asked guard how to get out cause as one person said sometimes you can't leave same way you came on or may be a shorter route available. I got to end of driveway for customer. Company GPS says turn left. Can't. No trucks sign. Three lights down is the interstate. Whole time GPS screaming uturn, uturn. Didn't catch interstate till I was on the ramp. Had guard not told me this or I blindly followed GPS and no truck sign id been screwed. Tell me how is this technology any good? Other than eta company can have it back. I managed to get from California to North Carolina without a GPS.
Drivers, why are we using GPS units?

I still don't have one. My broker gives jam up directions

Why should it surprise that some will not resort to convenient, fast, graphical, audible, 'new' technology as long as God still prints atlases?? Nice, quiet, colorful atlases. Like grandpappy liked.
I ask you!! -
My gps is nice, quiet, and colorful too![emoji4]

You may be amazed to hear this...but some us can read a map and use a GPS. And sometimes we even ignore the GPS!!!tinytim, TLeaHeart, Voyager1968 and 1 other person Thank this.

I'm not sure what you're suggesting but yes, when I call a business for directions I would think it's their job to provide them.
I figure me and the shipper/consignee have a mutual interest in seeing I get there safely and timely to deliver/pick up product. Why wouldn't they provide directions? -
Yup. My GPS is just another tool to use in navigation along with a traditional atlas and phone calls to the shipper/receiver. I do use Google Maps as well for a satellite view of the customer location, though. The GPS is used more for ETA's than anything else.
