When looking for a job, drivers should enquire if prospective employer even subscribes to DAC.
If they do, then get up and walk out.

Courts don't "send letters". If the judge dismissed your case, he signed a document stating so, and that document is in the court records. Go to the clerk of the court, with whatever info you have (case #, date, judge's name, whatever), and the clerk will make a certified copy of of that judgement. It'll cost you a few bucks (I'd get two while I'm there), but that's the only thing that can clear your name with the company.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Absolutely This.

I think they did you a favor. And let's face it, nobody is going to MAKE them rehire you. As you have said, you don't want to work there anyway, so scruem.
Don't know if you will have ongoing problems with finding work, but don't think you will. Good luck! -
I sure appreciate the good advice. Technically, I wasn't fired but put out of service. Same difference.

Update: It was easy to get hired on by Western Express but guess what PTL is doing now? They are saying that they have no information about me when someone calls to check on my employment. I myself ran my info and there is a big blank page for me. This has got to be illegal. They just don't want me going anywhere else. Pure evil. I showed up on some other report so I was able to be hired but WE called me and asked me about it. Some guy from operations even called me today and asked when I was coming back to work. I told him my story. It's the safety department hiding my records.

tjh, immediately get in contact with OSHA and file a complaint against PTL. OSHA will go to bat for you. If PTL does anything to prevent you from getting employed they can expect to pay a cash settlement to you and a fine.
By the way, PTL should have been on top of your med card as well. My company was all over us to make sure we were compliant, with repeated messages and phone calls.
