thanks FMJ, I need to get on the ball and get my DOT exam and permit done, hopefully they will schedule me in quickly. Timing would be great, I could be with a trainer starting into the winter season

can anyone provide me some pictures of the interior on the trucks?
-
Look through my running log thread. There are several.

Here are pictures I just took of my light weight truck earlier today.

Redoctober, I saw those. I appreciate the pictures of your setup. If it were me, id change a couple things but again, thats just me. Are you running an apu? Also, if I went with a smaller cooler, do you think I could keep the p/s?
-
Hmm, not finding your comment on that post. You commented after my post with the pictures or before?
-
After, it said something about needing admin approval to prevent spam..

Strange. Well It still hasn't shown up on that thread yet. You might want to try and resubmit it

Either way, I hope the pictures helped and give you an idea of what they are like inside. -
They did help quite a bit. I do have a question about the cooler. If I went with one of those smaller plug in types, could I keep the p/s. Also, do you ever kick the shelves? Do you have a tv? I thought about just running one of those portable dvd players with the small screen on them...saves a plug unless its charging. Are you running an apu?

I had the passenger seat removed so I could get a much bigger fridge. i wanted one with an actual freezer in it. You don't have to have the seat removed but it does limit the space you have . I have seem drivers put a very small fridge on the passenger seat and when they had a passenger, they would move the fridge to the bed. You have to buy your own fridge. Prime does not provide one for you.
As for the shelves, I designed and built those myself. No I do not kick them while I am in bed. I do not have a tv but I have a very nice size laptop I use that fits perfectly on the shelf so I can lay back on the bed it be at the right height. I had a couple months of living in this truck figuring out what would work best for me and my needs.
The truck has an apu and a1,500 watt power inverter. That is standard for the company trucks. So everything you saw in the photos is all powered off of that power inverter.. My fridge only takes 40-60 watts. I found a toaster oven at walmart that uses only 1000 watts and the microwave is 900 watts. I obviously can't run the toaster oven and microwave at the same time, but I leave the fridge running all the time. As for saving a plug, I use a power strip and a couple extension cords. I only use the cig lighters for my gps and to keep the phone charged while I am driving.
Hope that all helps and makes sense.
-Redoctoberirishramblernv Thanks this.
