I do all local work to, and I just switched to BFG's. I was running XZA3 Steers and XDN2 Drives, Loved the drives but hated the steers. Not sure of the hype of the XZA3 but I was nothing but disappointed with them, seem to be to soft and started cupping on me bad and had to replace before really needed or wanted to, I think the XZE2 is a better tire. But I'm trying out the BFG ST230 Steers and DR444 Drives. Priced fair and so far I'm happy with them.

Of course the XZE2 will outperform the XZA3 doing all local work as it's an all position tire vs an OTR steer. When buying tires, speccing for the intended use is very important. Just buying what's on sale or what the tire guy has in stock is probably not going to give you the best result.

For local work I use the goodyear 661 all around........16 ply , less expensive than most and hold up well...... -
I appreciate all the responses. I do now have Bridgestone R268 up front and 710M out back. I hope to get good use out of them.
