Our friend and family member here, gamma, had some bad luck today at the yard in Olathe. As you know he was turning in his truck today ....he fell getting out of the truck and broke 3 bones in his left foot and tore the ligaments in his knee. At that point he was still an employee of TransAm ....thankfully. A family member was on their way to pick him up this evening and he should be on his way home soon. He also broke his phone when he fell. I am sure once he gets home and settled he will give us an update.

We're all pulling for you, gamma. Many prayers for a speedy recovery.

Oh golly! My silly dog just brought me a possum! Yuck, yuck, yuck! The nasty thing stunk like a skunk! I made the dog drop him, brought the dog in,we got the shovel so that we could dispose of the nasty thing ......and it jumped up and took off!

Sorry to hear about Gamma. That sounds super painful and super interfering with his plans. God's speed on a Possum like recovery!

Oh gracious! So sorry about your fall, gamna! I hope things work out for you.

Pete, I'm not surprised that you want to be driving your truck! I was thinking about how tiring your moving will most likely be and figure you'll need to get in your truck and drive again to rest up. Sorry things are going kind of lousy. Hope it all works out in the end. Keep your chin up, nose clean, and give it your best shot!

Just talked with ajacks, gamma is on his way home. I'm afraid it is going to be rough trip for him ....the knee was dislocated also.

passport, your sense of humor tickles me! I pray gamma makes a possum like recovery too!:biggrin_2559:

jungHo, are you doing ok? How is your mom?

More storms and lightening in this area tonight. They had a tornado in the Joplin area yesterday...no major damage or injuries, thankfully.

I know the feeling HTQ, I have 3 teenagers at my house who do the exact same thing. I have gotten to the point to where I have to buy food for dinner the day I need it cause mine have started cooking things in the fridge and freezer as well for a snack:biggrin_25516:. I even quit buying cake mixes as I have seen cakes being made on a daily basis and disappearing even quicker

And from my experience with teenagers Flash she was lucky to get even the one piece of cake as something like that disappears quick.

Speedy recovery gamma, nothing like leaving TA on a hi note!! :)

Here in the meat market. Just watched this driver in a day cab, pulling a pup, probably lose his job. How in the heck does one brush a car with such a small vehicle? Was on my way to give him a hand, cause he was struggling so hard but, was about 45 seconds to late.

Has anyone on here ever picked up at a Whitlock Packaging Corp in lakeland called the juice bowl. If it is a place that is a frequent pick up it may have some delays as there was a natural gas explosion in the boiler room of the plant. No one was hurt but it did send a boiler tank through the wall and onto the CSX tracks behind the building.
