Ive been driving about 3 years now and having some trouble with my knee (old Marine Corps Injury), and want to find a company that uses auto trans so this problem goes away? What companies use auto trans?

Ive been in a few from time to time and loved them, cause my knee doesnt hurt at all (even Long haul runs). I know some companies use them and some dont and some are half and half? Anyone know??

Howard Transportation in Kenly, NC but it's flatbed.

I think Tyson Foods uses automatics.

    Some Comcar divisions use autos.

Watkins-Shepard in Concord, NC has some automatics.

Halvor Lines - 4 divisions to choose from: van/reefer/flatbed/decked van.

Tidewater Transit, which is based in Kinston & has several terminals in NC, uses autos. They still have some manuals, but have been moving the entire fleet to autos for a while now. I've been with them a year & a month now, no complaints. Their website is tidewater-transit.com.

I remember reading on some web sites that some of the companies that have a mix will offer you to choose. I think that is smart...because someone in dbrober70's predicament can choose auto, and someone like me (HATE autos) can choose manual. Two happy drivers right out of the box.

I know that Celedon is slowly converting to automatics, but I don't know if they're giving those to the long time drivers or not.

By the way, thank you for your service
