Location for the night

Almost through my first week of driving and sitting in a rest area south of Modesto to grab some sleep before a very early pickup at Conagra tomorrow. has anyone been to this shipper before? The 'Remarks' section in Work Flow made it sound like it was a pretty big deal (3 way call w/ CSR and DBL). Any tips/guidance?

I got really stressed out today because I tried to get routed to the Modesto Truck Stop and took a right instead of a left off of 99 NB. I needed a broom to sweep out the trailer so I couldn't wait at the rest area like I wanted to, so pushed to the truck stop, took a wrong turn, tried to get turned around in that shopping area over there, and then got stuck briefly trying to make a turn that was too tight in the parking lot. I had to carefully back up and ended up holding up traffic in the lot. It was really embarassing.

Long story short, TS didn't have a broom but there was a flea market next door so I grabbed one there, then drove all the way back to the rest area because I was stressed out and wanted somewhere easy to park and that was free.

 

Pilot in Terre Haute, Indiana. PHX I've seen stuff like that in the remarks on many loads but I've never had to be on any 3 way calls yet.

 

That's exactly what it was, haha. I swept it out as clean as possible and checked for holes because they said it had to be OK to haul food. Now I'm paranoid that I'm going to show up and have it get denied for some reason and screw up the whole load.

Nah, the D was a great place when I was growing up, and it was still a good place back in the '90s.

It's sad to see what has happened there.
