Brake Check 2014

I've been on the NAFTA HIGHWAY since 2am. Haven't encountered one yet.

 

I have driven from California to Lafayette, LA on the 10 and haven't seen anything yet. I have been driving at night though which kinda helps to avoid that BS.

 

I was driving South on 55 in LA on Sunday..... none to zero truck traffic on the road ... but me. Scale was open nut I got the "Go ahead" in a jiffy. I thought they will work hardest on the first day of the campaign.

 

Baltimore. Shell Road south of I-895. Four of them working a one block area north of Patapsco Ave.

 

They were set up on 94 SB in Mn few miles before Ia. Waved me through. They had 7 or 8 trucks on the side with creepy crawlers under them.

I'm in Mo at the 58 on rt 55 now. Other then some rain and traffic passing St Louis, all was clear.

I'll be unloading in Memphis tomorrow morning. On an over size permit load.. so stopped here to make sure I had a place to park.

Came down 135 in Kansas this afternoon and there was a fleet of DOT officers inspecting trucks at a rest area just before Wichita.

 

I think the states who are the most under water are the ones who mostly work these shakedowns.

 

Pulled into the rest stop on I40 in Jackson Tn westbound and DOT was giving a truck an inspection. He was all under it! I had 15 minutes left on my 11, so I parked for the night. But alot of trucks left quick. The DOT moved on after that truck... All quiet now!!
