HTQ knows what George looks like. He looks like a driver to me....the only thing that throws you off is that he is usually smiling when I have seen his pictures.....but that just comes from having a happy heart.

Dropped the girls off so that they could go to the mall without me today, , then I went to WalMart which is almost as bad! Saw a nice red TransAm truck in the parking lot ....lease truck. Then the girls call me and say that they thought they passed honeybadger on I 44 today. Purple TransAm truck and a lady with brightly colored hair driving. honeybadger, are there two of you? Number One Daughter says I have to set my crown on the dash of the jeep so you all will know it is me when you go through this area!

Ahh Pete, I am sorry that this move has been so bad for you and Patty. But at least you are getting it done, you and Patty will have a home for the holidays for the first time in several years. Did you get a new recliner out of the deal?

This was on FB a couple of hours ago......and is the third shooting I have heard about on I 70 in the last week

Driver Warning: Just a heads up! We are at the Petro Oak Grove truck stop on I-70 in Missouri. Just spoke to a truck driver who's passenger side window was shot out while going down I-70 at about the 24MM. The bullet shattered the window and missed his leg before making a hole in the floor.

 

HTQ, I must have a twin running around. I haven't been near 44 in months!

That's scary about the shooting. It makes me sick that people do stuff like that. We have enough to worry about every day, but to also worry about being shot while just driving down the road?! Ugh.

 

Ah heck Pete, once you said "I do", you lost all rights to make a decision!!!!!!! lol

 

Soooo, I take it that you didn't get the camo recliner......you do know that your behind won't really notice what color it is ....it will just be happy to have a place to relax! (Did you tell her that the camo wouldn't show cat hair?) Let Patty enjoy making a home for you all .....believe me life will be easier!


honeybadger, my daughters can't believe that it wasn't you today! They were so sure. It is scary about the shootings and it is no specific area on I 70....from the KC area to St. Louis. The lady that was shot in St. Louis died after she crashed her car. I haven't seen a description of the vehicle ....only that they pull along beside you and ride there long enough for you to glance over to see what their problem is. So, everybody just be aware.....

 

Do you remember me telling you about the little old man that picks up cans along the highway to supplement his Social Security? I save soda cans for him and put out by my gate. I found out awhile back that the poor fella doesn't even have electricity. I've been worried about him the last few weeks when our temperatures reached 105 degrees. I put a bag of cans out for him 2 and a half weeks ago ....they are still out there. I have no idea how to find out about him. I live in the corner of several county lines, so I don't know which county he lives in ....and I only know his first name. I couldn't even describe his car....other than old and brown. Anybody have any ideas?

 

Actually, I believe it was passport that made the suggestions for fabric choices...... and Panhandle! .....our single gentlemen......all of our married drivers KNOW not to even go there .....because it makes no difference what the manly preference is anyway!

I felt bad once (might have been over the pink roses on the wallpaper) and decided to put some effort into making a man cave for the King. The first time some of the old roosters in the neighborhood walked into it they said "Hmmmph ....your wife did this didn't she" That was the end of my efforts at a man cave. Now he has a 6 car garage with a work shop full of junk that I would put in the burn pile .....but all of the old roosters think it's the best ....go figure!
