Here I was being good all day then my swap shows up and I had to do my honeybadger thing. Swap driver was a super nice company driver who pulled this out of Olathe today and filled me in on how screwed up this load is. First driver created the problem by pulling it out of Fort Morgan without scaling and dumping it in Olathe. Guy I swapped with scaled it on the yard and the only way to be axle legal is to run it 4 holes behind the meat hole and carry no more than 75 gallons of fuel at a time. Problem is that both TN and FL have a bridge law and FL enforces it! I'm supposed to take this to the Loves in Jasper, FL. I told TransAm they better send the swap driver to the Loves in Mossy Head cause that's where my truck is stopping. I'm fine to run MS and AL and can take back roads to Mossy Head and never cross a Florida scale. After that it's someone else's problem because TransAm was already made aware of the weight issue by the last driver.

Surprise, surprise... they didn't turn my fuel card off when I said I'm taking this to Mossy Head and not Jasper!

I only look like a truck driver in that I am 40 pounds overweight. I need to find a good appetite suppressant. I have a truckers gut, but nothing else about me would suggest otherwise. I am 5'6'' and weigh around 195. The lifestyle is not conducive to keeping my weight down. Gotta stay away from Flying J pizza.

I got a traffic ticket, near Ft. Wayne, IN for "improper lane movement" many months back. Had it continued while I was overseas, I hired a lawyer, it finally went before a judge yesterday and I won! Not guilty, Woohoo!!!

Long story but I was not going to make my court appearance due to a missed home time request. TransAm put me on a plane to do a recovery so I could be close enough to make it in time to court. Rescued up a T-700 from a KW dealer, picked up a load and had to drive all night but I made it to court. Now taking the load to New Jersey.

I could rant about how disappointed I was that TA mishandled my home time request but I know a few people in Olathe had to work very hard to fix the problem, work out the recovery so I could be where I needed to be, so no harm, no foul. All is well that ends well.

Driving this T-700 affirms my feeling that the T-700 is the best model in the TransAm fleet for a company driver. This one is governed at 65 so I like it even more. However, my preplan takes me back to Texas where I expect they will rotate me out of this truck and back in to my good ole 660 in Rockwall.

I only had to deal with Cornell once. He answered a few questions and gave me a ride in the TransAm van. In the short time I spent with him, I was impressed by how laid back, yet super helpful he was. Good person to deal with!

passport good for you on the ticket. I belong to legal shield so when I got a stop sign ticket back in Nov. they got it down to a non-moving violation but I was wrong in that one so I appreciated it being dropped down. I was trying to be traffic making a left so I did not stop all the way. Very stupid of me but got lucky that it was dropped to a non moving violation.

In Greenville, Sc. @ Bi-Lo they are not very quick. Wish I knew the reasoning behind making an appointment and then making us wait for hours. I guess they could explain it but I would never understand the language of stupid. Oh well I guess thats trucking

Next load North Cove, Nc to Earth City, Mo. Never been to Earth City, Mo. hope they are good. I should be going home after that load so I imagine into Iowa then to Nc.

    Be safe out there

Subway sandwiches without the gobs of creamy dressings they slather on. And drink water. Usually when you think you're hungry, you're thirsty.
