Have to get business licenses/permits/state tax licenses for every location you go to. HOWEVER, I'm not trying to throw cold water on what might be a possible business, (with several modifications,) for someone who was willing and financially able to set it up.

I don't think it is "a stupid idea." I think it is "a novel idea with possibilities." Biggest concern is safety, (trailer walls are kind of easy to shoot through.) Second concern is noise, (trailer walls are kinda thin.) Third concern is size, (as was mentioned you need a bit more room downrange, but you also need a bit more room for shooting lanes. . .)

Just a few "minor" problems. :biggrin_25523:

I prefer beer cans out in the tumbleweeds.

The trailer would be filled with sound insulation, you probably wouldn't hear it 50 ft. away, and probably wouldn't hear it anyway over all the trucks idling in 70 degree weather.

I had a set of Crawford TV/Movie generators with 350hp Volvos in them, when they were running at operating rpm, 1800, with the sound insulation they had in them, you could stand right outside of them and talk in a normal voice.

Noise would be a big concern, however it is addressed in that prototype image. It shows it being lined with some kind of sound-proofing / bullet resistant material.

Good point and as far as that one goes, I got nothin'... I guess it'd be as much as a liability as being shot accidentally by someone else at a brick n' mortar range.

I've seen a few National Guard trailers like that. They use .22's

Put a noisy reefer on one side and a truck with the engine fan on idling at high speed with the air dryer blowing off every 10 seconds and you won't even know it's there.

Am I the only one who saw this post and thought, "I can shoot holes into an old trailer?"

Well yeah, if it were sitting on a farm... sure. Prop up some sheets of plywood in the nose and go to town.
Would be a waste to outfit a trailer with all equipment that for personal use.
