You can buy a GPS and get real time updates mine works decent and it tells you how long the delay is but not why.

Also they make this brand new device you hook up and tune in and when others have one they share the road conditions and traffic and it's real time too.

Good Day! Felt kinda weird without detours, weather problems, major traffic delay or cancelled load..Just running along, me, the truck, sunshine, cool breeze and the highway.. I'll take it!

Ran about 500 miles. Deliver in Kent WA tomorrow about 260 miles away, live unload. Then taken the rest of day off.

Thanks Tenn.. That is my plan. I will complete the load I'm on then this truck will stop .. Support said she can't get a hold of anyone to authorize taking the next one off but said to call back in the morning.. Imagine that! ..

I was told by one of the weekend workers that they (and also overnight shift) can not remove loads. There are only certain people that can. That's why they always try and push it off and ask you to call your ICA in the morning. I guess they don't want to give them that kind of power.

Pretty good day! Was able to go through the I-15 mess (Freeway washed out) on south bound side. North bound from Vegas was still closed to trucks between 5am and 10pm routing you 250 miles out of route on US93 and 319 to get to Southern UT area.

Went from UT where I dropped to Vegas and picked up my next load. Booked it out of there up the 93 about 350 miles to Flying J in Northern Nevada off I-80 & 93. All total ran about 480 miles. Should get within about 180 miles from my drop tomorrow. Then finish it off on Monday and make that a short Day. Tuesday I'm scheduled to pick up a load and head East to North Dakota.. Should be decent weather tho just saying the name of that state gives me the chills! All good! It's a nice paying load but will probably have to DH couple hundred miles to get the next load. The area is extremely low on freight, however the surrounding states have some good paying loads that helps make up for it.

Had another choice driver tell us that if there are no loads within 100 miles of your delivery you can find one on a load board(not schneider) you can call ICA and ask them to book it for you. Don't know if it's true or not. He said he has done it. But there has to be NO loads not no loads you like. There are loads out if Denver going to some small town in New Mexico and there are no loads in over 150 miles. If you try this and it works let us know.

This is what I have come to understand as well. They have remove loads off of me if the are out far enough, if your to close to pick up or it is on a weekend it is difficult to get it removed. I think the new time is 34 hours before pick up is not a problem.

The next day when I called my ICA (she works on Saturdays) She said she couldn't even remove it cause it was a critical load so even tho i was going to be late they wanted me to run with it. However the other 2 loads after the first one the support shift was able to remove the night before.

Yes I know a driver who does this. He never told me about no loads with in 100 miles tho. I'm thinking he just does it on his own and lets SNI know. He usually does it out of Denver when there is nothing paying very well. Not sure, will have to ask him.

Let me know if anyone is able to pull off getting booked on an outside load. I still have a couple of contacts from my stint as a freight broker for Covenant that could be possibilities for some decent paying freight.

I'm still trying get a hold of guy I knew who said he did this. Hope to hear back from him soon. At the time it sounded like to much of a headache to me but.. who knows ..I am curious how different drivers get outside loads. Not something I want to do ..Just curious. Will let you what I find out.
