CRE had a very tough training program. It reminded me of bootcamp. They use to say if you don't get your CDL with us you don't owe us a penny so the day before the test I told them I didn't think this was for me. Went home and passed test there total cost $450. Not bad.
Finally got out of that place Kronotex, crazy place. Once in door loaded and gone with in an hour. Now have to run hard to get this load in on time. First ATL then through all that great stuff in Memphis after that smooth sailing.
Be safe out theregntorres61 Thanks this. -
With the new trucks at least, we can ONLY go to Kenworth for an alignment. Which is fine by me because I have 99% of my work done at KW by my choice. But I do have the freedom to go elsewhere for most other work. Unfortunately, the closest KW to home is the one in Mobile so I can't just drop the truck off at the beginning of HT for service and pick it up later. I couldn't even go to Peterbilt right down the road in Mobile for my alignment which is stupid because they are both Paccar companies.
My curse is apparently back and in full swing. I grabbed my load at the Averitt terminal and just got into Louisiana when I got a text from hubby saying my debit card might not work and to call a certain number. I called and come to find out some #### in Canada got my card info and tried to make two different charges totaling almost $300. I confirmed that the charges in Canada we absolutely not me, that the only valid activity on my card today was Tallapoosa, GA. Well now my debit card is permanently shut off and I have to get to the bank at home to get a new one. This went down right after my DM left for the day so I'm calling her first thing in the morning, but Travis did already email the planners and flag me for a swap. I'm hoping since I'm running west on 20 that I can intercept a meat load out of Friona or Amarillo heading to Lakeland so I can stop by the house for a couple hours and take care of this. Because until I get this taken care of I have no money ((I already had my hubby deposit my advance this week to the account so I could just use my debit card for food and scale)) and I will be surviving on cookie dough and cereal.
I was so livid over the KW thing yesterday combined with the crappy miles I've been getting for weeks that since I had no satellite signal I emailed my DM and told her to call me ASAP and let me know which terminal to turn the truck in to. DM2 was able to cool things off and DM today gets total credit for setting me up with a killer preplan after I drop in Ardmore. After Ardmore I was supposed to deadhead all the way up to Grand Island and then pick up a multi stop load going to Atlanta, College Park and the finaling in Plant City FL. Over 2000 miles total! But my debit card fiasco has likely ruined that now. -
On the bright side, one of my best friends in Australia mailed out a care package yesterday that should arrive by the time I take my next home time. 5 packages of different flavors of Tim Tams, my favorite cookie in the world, and two jars of black gold... vegemite!!! I am addicted to vegemite and cheese sammiches but Vegemite is very hard to find in the US. Probably because 99% of Americans think it's disgusting.
Also, on September 24, Nabisco is releasing pumpkin spice oreos. At least some things in the world are still good.jungHo Thanks this. -
And at least the fraud was caught and stopped before your personal information was captured. And pumpkin Oreos are coming...
-
The fraud thing could have definitely been a lot worse so I do consider myself lucky. And those two charges should disappear from what the guy said. I'm just worried that a $10 purchase at the Pilot will cost me an extra $30 in courtesy pay fees if it clears before those fraudulent charges are dismissed because right now it says our available balance is 0. Ugh.

Good luck getting home, Honeybadger. Hope things improve for you, with your loads too. It's always great when there's a perk or two to pull you out of frustration city!
-
*sighs* I'd had high hopes, that with only 1 pallet, they would take me right inn and take it off. Seems it's not to be.
-
Are you talking about insufficent funds charge from the bank or another charge by Pilot? If its the bank you should be able to get it back since you do have a fraud report on file with them and you would have had the funds available if it wasn't for the fraud.
On a better note heard this commercial on the radio and thought of you, Pumkin bagels and pumkin smeer is available at Einstein Bros bagels..honeybadger. Thanks this. -
This came up on the Texans board I go to and I thought I'd get some of your expert opinions on this.
It seems a study shows that, of all places, Idaho has the nation's rudest drivers.

I think Texas should be in there somewhere. Maybe we just have the worst drivers, not necessarily the rudest. Our resident Texans fan from Idaho is not amused..lol.
