Thank you JunHo. I can accept that things in trucking will not always go smooth as glass. I will not accept that as a driver I should bear the burden for all of it. I loose time and money for my mistakes and for stuff beyond anyone's control, I do it without comment, I am not going to do it for the mistakes of others.
Thanks for the support Jaso. $50 layover is not much but it is what I agreed to when I signed on with TransAm. If they would just pay that lousy $50 without it always being such a fight, I would just shut my mouth and go with it.
Fright does seem to be slow and maybe they currently have too many drivers. With my disagreement with TransAm, I did think last night my employment with TransAm would come to an end this week. In the end I am happy we worked it out. Good luck in Auburndale.

passport with your experience everything would be a go to move on
except that ll thing about taking 4 months off
but in the heat of battle it is hard to remember thatpassport220 and dennisroc Thank this. -
Yeah, you and the Flash were about to get a private e-mail last night. Inquirers about job openings at your companies. But as you say, I do have another long leave planned for this winter, so it will be best if I can make it work with TransAm until I can finish up with that. The weather in the Philippines this time of year seems very nice compared to the heat of battle. I think about booking early plane ticks if not looking for another job when this stuff heats up.
I am a team player and in a bit of time, my feelings over this will pass and I will continue to generally support and have a good attitude toward TransAm. The folks at TransAm did come around not only with the layover pay but a shift in attitude about how things went down on Monday. I give them credit for that.gntorres61 and dennisroc Thank this. -
Sounds like a lot of frustration at times with TA , I am glad to be able to get all this info from everyone here. I am starting to see that TA drivers have a lot to deal with as well as a lot of other companies.
I think it would be okay to have a few things not go your way but day after day has got to wear a person down. Hope you have better luck in the future.
Where you headed in the Philippines ? We will probably spend Christmas and New Years there in Leyte.
By then Korea will be freezing and I will be ready for some home time in the Philippines.gntorres61, HometimeQueen and passport220 Thank this. -
So Jason, did you get to swim in your parents' pool while visiting them? That is one nice thing about FL, although I'm glad we're getting cooler temperatures now. It will be a bit warmer by this weekend just in time for George's home time, though

^ Thanks, things are sorted out for me here. I will be fine.
I will spend my time on Koh Chang (Elephant Island) in Thailand and on Camiguin Island and Bacolod City in the Philippines this winter.
Maybe I will run into you someplace in the Phils. For that reason you should always wear an athletic protective cup when on the islands. I owe you a good one for those jokes (especially the frog legs one).
lol

Ok so I leave Ocala FL at 6pm last night and get to Dalton at 3am for my preplanned T Call/swap. Never confirmed. I texted my DM when I left Ocala, to see if its on, and never heard back from her. This load is due in Melrose Park IL Friday at 4pm. I went on anyway, figuring I better start heading north. Arrived at Dalton, GA at 3am, sent my 024 t call. Got automated note to take this load to TA in downtown Nashville off I 24. Texted back too tired to continue. Never got a response back. Circled the parking lot, found no parking, took a deep breath and continued on to Nashville. After all, where am I gonna find parking at 3am? I rationalized by the time I get to Nashville I would have better luck.
Arrived at 524 am central sent my 024 again. Tessa was in by then and texted back, "George do you know who you are supposed to swap with?" "No idea," I retorted. I know one thing, my clock is up and I am finding a spot and going to bed and though I didn't find a pull through, I found a couple of easy straight line backs and went to bed. As Johnboy always says "Its above my paygrade to worry about." They got ten hours to figure it out. Day-day.
Jaso, by the way, this TA place isnt so bad. Last time I got caught in Titans football traffic. When you're tired any place will do. I have a slightly better opinion of it. Wish I had a shower credit here. Deuces. -
I figured disconnecting air lines would work too.

Is it 24 hours layover before Trans Am will consider paying? I bet all companies are tight fisted. Seems to be a black eye on the industry.

That is exactly how they cleared it the last time, they had an attachment that fit on the garden hose. The problem is that the plumbing downstairs is full of elbows and T's ....not one straight pipe showing anywhere. They had to take both sinks apart to get the hose far enough in the line to clear the problem. I really don't want to take anything apart on my own ......the King might get a little mad if I start taking apart the house!
But I am still sitting here waiting .....and waiting.
jungHo, there is another good plumber about 35 miles away......he charges $200 just for a service call out here.
Pete, you sound just like the plumber .....Do you need an attitude adjustment and reboot???? I'm gonna have to talk to Patty!
jungHo, gntorres61 and dennisroc Thank this.
