Visited NE a few times. The cape was nice, Albany was cold as hell but went to the berkshires and skiied jiminy's peak. Fun but I hate cold weather. Keep me below Interstate 10 was my motto for many years but I think I might make do with below I20.
About Indian River, On the website they say they require one year but rumor has it they are taking new grads. But it's just a rumor. -
I'll be applying to pretty much every company I can that I think is decent.... Even if they say they require experience... Because you never know!
southtruck Thanks this. -
Not a rumor. I applied as a recent grad and had a date set for orientation.. However, Schneider called me (my first choice) so, I went with them instead.

Are you done with training yet? How are things going at Schneider?

If IRT will take you as a new grad, take it. I think Watkins refer requires 1yr experience. HO Wolding, Schneider, FFE, KLLM would be my top picks as a newbie. Heck, I would even look at Werner. Add Trans Am to the list too.

I live in Pasco myself in Hudson. As for first company it kind of depends on your needs/wants like hometime, benefits ,cpm. I think Conway is a pretty smart choice in my opinion. You might also want to look into epes as they sometimes hire down here and I think they have a newbie program. Roehl hires sometimes down here as well which wouldn't be a bad start. If you want to do flatbed I know tmc has a weekends off and possible hometime during the week gig. As for tanker the only one I know of would be CTL or IRT. Good luck on parking the truck, I know the walmart in Hudson and NPR doesn't want overnight trucks anymore. The home depots are a no go as well. The flying J on 75 I use to park at but I had fuel stolen once or twice and a mirror backed into so I don't recommend that either.
