Trucking companies consider it a reckless driving offense. Any 15 mph or over is a job killer in trucking. Maybe knock on some doors with some small 4 or 5 truck companies.
Try Buel Inc. since they are a lease outfit and not a company driver outfit.
Mamo Transportation is pretty loose from what I've heard.
What companies offer Pet and Rider policy and regional route for a recent grad?

Some companies are more strict than others, but all companies want a 10 yr. history of what you have been up to for the last 10 years. Stay at home mom is fine, inmate in prison is fine, just so you can account for where you were and what you were doing. Some things are unforgiving, such as " I was hijacking ships off the coast of Somalia." This 10 yr. accounting started because of 9/11.
Since you two, "Truckergirl36" & "virginwidow" have problems, maybe team up and fight this together, run teams with some 2nd chance company until your record looks more tidy. Buel Inc./Carolina Cargo/Martin Enterprises of the Carolinas.knuckledragger, TruckDuo, Tonythetruckerdude and 1 other person Thank this. -
Thanks

I was following this thread for the pet policy info, but the topic crossed into interesting territory. Are people saying that trucking companies verify employment history via tax documents (and not just a phone call to the previous employer)? I ask because many small businesses in the service-industry (eg, restaurants, caterers, landscaping, subcontractors, etc) will run seasonal employees off the books. If a person works several decades at a single company that can be verified via tax returns immediately followed by 6 months with a company that cannot, should the latter simply be left off the work history in the application (even if it's more recent and relevant to a driving/trucking job)?
virginwidow Thanks this. -
Thanks Chinatown and VirginWidow i think it all depends on how strict the company is Prime told me they denied
my App cause of my work history and another one told me i had to send my taxes for a job that i got paid cash
for to verify cause they are no longer in business, but for the last 2 years i do not have steady work history...
I would say put in apps everywhere if u are not picky about where u want to work or if u do not have
animals it will be easier to find one that will work for you! And at least u don't have the speeding ticket like
i have, i think u don't anyway Lol... -
ChinaTown will it be hard for me to get a local route if i decide to do that in a year or two with the speeding ticket being over
15 mph? Will i have to wait 3 to 5 years for it to be off my record to drive locally for most? Maybe find a few that will
take me? -

Thanks ChinaTown!
