^Hiya Polarbear, welcome to our thread. Of course the amount of hometime you take is going to affect your long-term weekly average and freight is a bit slow this month so figure a base to start around 2,500-2550. If you prove you can run and make your deliveries on-time on a regular bases, it will move up to around 2,750-2,800. That has been my experience.

Hello Polar , I am not a driver yet but have got a lot of good info here. They can answer most questions you have very quick.
Also good to read through some of the old post.
These guys and gals on here have been there and done that.

Were they picky about what school you go to ?

I hear they have some nice equipment , all Kenworth , automatics I think.

I was wondering , with all the TransAm drivers out there why there are so few who post on here ?

Maybe some are just not into it , but would really like to see more drivers come to this Forum.

When I didn't get a return call from the dealer, I hopped a cab and went down there. I walked into the office, and said its D Day Daniel, I am leaving Raleigh tonite with my truck or my wife is picking me up and I'll be back after the weekend to pick it up and start my next trip. He says we got your new exhaust pipes in and we anticipate it being ready today. So with that, I am back in the lounge and waiting some more.

Polarbear, welome to the fold. Passport is on point about your miles. Mine have taken a hit lately. 1200, 1800, and 2200 and next two weeks are just plain gonna stink. Gotta black cloud hanging over my head lately, but I am hopeful things will improve shortly, after I get my truck outta the dealer here and grab a full weekend worth of hometime. Funny, but my first 10 weeks were very good, my last six weeks, not so much. Some of that was my fault but the rest, just some bad luck. Bound to turn around again. You are smart to not lease out of the gate. Learn to drive the truck and learn the lifestyle. Our trucks are among the best spec'd out trucks in the industry. Glad to have you with us!- George

George I hope your luck changes soon and it will.

Welcome to the thread polarbear. To be realistic expect what passport wrote. In school they will tell you 500 miles a day but in the real world things are different. So keep that in mind. Nothing is perfect but this is a good spot to learn. Good luck in your new adventure.

In Perryburg, Oh till 2000 then I asked for a change in delivery for tomorrow and they did. I am not used to this but whoever is liking me in that office right now for this week is allright by me. Off to dream land.

    Be safe out there

Of course we are busy with that ugly 4 letter word Flash, I am actually just finishing up my lunch. Though I did find a interesting video on Youtube about someone at a Trans Am orientation saying that the lease program is the way to go, hyping it up all nice and good to that you would not like it as a company driver, and that he only had 2 lease trucks in the yard and 13 company trucks cause the company drivers are just turning them in.

After reading everything on here those 13 company trucks are problebly former lease trucks they can no longer lease out.
