I was on standby, ready and willing to do just that. The mechanics kept implying the truck would be ready soin, George said, so he figured he'd wait. He's at long last home!!!!!

Congrats passport! Enjoy your new home!

We had some severe weather throughout the day today. Many weather sirens going off, tree limbs down and power outages. One of the local middle schools had some kids hit by lightning as they got off the bus to enter the school this morning.

I just changed the King's radio service over to a new radio in his truck. I talked to a very nice guy named Mike ....in India ....and he used an accent just like our Cranky Yankee's! It was a hoot! Of course, they wanted to charge their standard $15 transfer fee but I got to talking to Mike and his manager about how important the radio was when you are a truck driver and how unfair the fee was for most truck drivers when they had to change trucks. They waived the fee for me.....and indicated that it could be done for any of you all that are long time customers. Who knows? It is worth talking to them about if and when you have to change your service.

To bad that that is now becoming a TA. Never thought their cinnamon rolls were that good anyway.

That is bad news if they are changing it to a TA. I really like that truck stop.

In Syracuse waiting for a door. No pre plan yet but hopeful

    Be safe out there

^ If you need it after you unload, there is a truck wash behind the Pilot in Syracuse (Liverpool). Drive past the main building and take the little road that will lead you around to enter from the back side to get a washout.

Well its finally good to be home. Next time I will take Johnboy's suggestion. Drop off the keys and get a ride home someway. This trip was a financial disaster. 22 days out and at least a third of it was sitting. That doesn't feed the bulldog. Thank God, I don't have one. Deuces.

That is funny, then again they make the ppl that work in those call centers over there watch American TV shows to try and hide the fact of where they are at and to try and get conversation going.
