Is it best to have an accountant in the state where you live or does it matter?

 

Doesn't matter, as long as they know the trucking industry inside and out as far as the tax code is considered. Personally, I like to have someone local to me, that way when it comes down to tax time and I go sit in their office and know what my tax bill is going to be, then we talk about next year and what can be done to keep it lower.
