This ol' highway's getting longer
Seems there ain't no end in sight
To sleep would be best, but I just can't afford to rest
I've got to ride in Denver tomorrow night
I called the house but no one answered
For the last two weeks no one's been home
I guess she's through with me, to tell the truth I just can't see
What's kept the woman holding on this long
And the white line's getting longer and the saddle's getting cold
I'm much too young to feel this #### old
All my cards are on the table with no ace left in the hole
I'm much too young to feel this #### old
The competition's getting younger
Tougher broncs, you know I can't recall
The worn out tape of Chris LeDoux, lonely women and bad booze
Seem to be the only friends I've left at all
And the white line's getting longer and the saddle's getting cold
I'm much too young to feel this #### old
All my cards are on the table with no ace left in the hole
I'm much too young to feel this #### old
Lord, I'm much too young to feel this #### old
This song sums up how this industry can feel

"Uneasy Rider" by Charlie Daniels for me. "I was takin' a trip out to L.A., toolin' along in my Chevrolet, tokin' on a number and diggin' on the radio"

Or i10 through El Paso during rush hour.
Those amigo's with Mexican plates drive around semi trucks like they have a death wish. No mercy and no respect. I believe they honestly think I can stop like a car. I always make sure I keep ample distance between me and anyone in front,.. as I know even if I closed the gap,.. they would still squeeze in between and I'd be in the wrong if I hit them.
I stress more in El Paso then I do in NYC. At least in NYC they understand the 3 second rule. I put my turn signal on,.. I count 1000 n 1, 1000 n 2, 1000 n 3, then I start coming over. You have to do it like you mean it, dont jerk it over, but just with commitment so they know your serious. They blow the horn, flip me the finger,.. but they get out of the way. In El Paso? Hah,.. its like they dare you to hit them. I had to miss my exit or stop in the middle lane to get over because no one,.. NO ONE,.. would allow me over to exit,.. and its not like I wait till the last minute to get over. I had been trying to work over for at least a mile before I needed to exit. The worst! California is a close second and NYC a distant 3rd. But El Paso is the worst IMO.
