We submitted an application to Raven but haven't heard a word. Not even an acknowledgement. Wonder if something went wrong with the submission and it needs to be sent again??

After submitting the application, feel free to call recruiting, and inform her that you submitted it and she may be able to tell you if it has made it to safety for review or not.

Raven is a smaller company than most and all applications the huge majority of the time goes through Jacksonville. Same for orientation, so don't be scared or worried about calling in and making yourselves known to them. Good luck!

When I have time, I have been thinking of adding my weekly mileage as well as continuing to post my weekly settlements.

    Coragran Thanks this.

I'm pretty happy with it. I'm on the road but it feels like I'm hardly working and I'm never in a rush to pick up or deliver.

The miles are there even when I go home every other week. I didn't know it was possible before Raven but with the way things are done here with loads being planned it's great. Right now I have a load I deliver at anytime today and I'm already planned to deliver a load near home by Friday at anytime. The money, miles and home time plus my driver leader; everything is perfect. I know I'm working but it doesn't feel like it. That's refreshing.

That is great! I have been on just about every page in this forum in reference to trucking companies in the Florida area. It is refreshing to see posts talking about good things instead of all the downgrading that goes on in every other post! I also have been keeping up with a guy that recently went to work for Abilene and he is of the same mindset about them as you are about Raven. Again, refreshing to know there are still some good trucking companies out there that Floridians can earn a decent living driving for. I think it's pretty definite that my Husbands new home away from home will be Paper Transport. Hopefully, another Florida based trucker can add another trucking company to the good pile. Once he hits his benefit period (1st of the month following 60 days which will be 1/1/15) I will be riding along 24/7 and posting as you have whether it be good or bad. Once he gets past the preliminaries at the end of October and hits the road I will post what "promises" were made and update if they kept their word. Right now all of our information is coming from a recruiter and those guys know how to sugar coat! I figure he will get the real scoop during orientation. Since he is giving up his current job I truly hope the majority of what has been promised will be a reality. Although I don't think (knock on wood) he could possibly make less than what he is making now or be treated any worse! Keep the posts coming as I will continue to follow and hope I don't get too jealous if our settlement statements aren't for similar amounts :biggrin_25525:
