I'm not a broker but The Internet Truckstop will show you as a crap broker for 1 year and most everyone will not haul a load for you. Not trying to be mean but that's the way it goes. The one way you can attract carriers to take your loads is to get a line of credit from the bank and pay via Comcheck when the load is delivered and have the carrier report back to The Internet Truckstop on your performance. Also when listing the load post that you pay on delivery.

Be as helpful, accomodating, and FAIR as possible. Both parties are trying to make money and the only way you will get repeat business is if the broker and driver are both satisfied with service and pay.
consolidated_logistics Thanks this. -
If you're working under a broker as an agent, then you'll get the benefit of their authority and backoffice support, including their billing department and all that.
If you're starting out as your own brokerage with a new MC number and authority, then what skate-board said might apply. -
Work hard and be honest. Everyone has been treated poorly on both sides of the fence so keep it real and as a broker or agent you'll start to gain traction and some friends as well.

Goodluck on your journey.
I am also considering becoming a broker. -
I might have to send you a PM with a few questions.
