Trans Am Still

Well, honeybadger and I did our best but didn't get first. By the time we realized the other trucker was cheating it was too late to catch up to them. She did however get second and had a lot of support from good friends around the country. Congrats honeybadger!

I guess I should clarify that ...when he first started with TransAm the pet policy applied to both company and lease drivers. They may have changed it while he was still with them, we just never checked into it because of the outrageous cost.

 

I feel for ya, man. When I was with USX, they sent me to Peterbuilt in Richmond to recover a truck. It was so nasty when my hubby was bringing my stuff to put in the truck, I said nope, I'm going home. Called dispatch and said they could send someone else. The whole bunk area was filled with trash and porn. No wonder the service guy looked at me funny when I walked in. I threw the key back at him and said no freaking way.

 

Well, flapper headbands are all finished and ready for the Heritage Festival. Still have to finish the dresses and catch up on everything. Daughters wanted to go to a haunted house last night. It was in a 4 story Victorian home .....dark and creepy. They had folks dressed up as all of the characters from horror movies. There was a little man dressed up as a Chuckie doll, he was in a cage. The little man decided to single Number One Daughter out to terrorize her. He came out of the cage after her ....Number Two Daughter grabs him by the nape of the neck and tells him " Get away from my sister, midget, or I will boot you through the wall!" .......They don't want Number Two Daughter to come back .......

 

One problem I think with companies today is that some of them use a pet policy as incentive to lease. I know it's well within their rights but I don't really think it's fair to the people who have no interest in leasing.

 

If they don't get ya with the bright shiny objects they will get ya with the soft cuddly ones! You know the old saying ....If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull!

 

Think that might be a "blanket statement" for large carriers only. Most smaller carriers, I think, allow them. They know how useful pets can be. My company, as an example", will take $50 a week, out of your settlement, up to a grand. This not covers only pets, but any damage to the equipment, for when you quit. Cleanup costs...etc.

 

I'll bite, what the h e double ll are you talking about??
