hiring drivers

Walmart hires any driver who meets the minimum qualifications, including former union members.

 

I'm a union driver and i have the pre-trip/road test next week actually. Speaking of that can anybody tell me if the tractor and trailer are usually already hooked for the pre-trip or do you have to hook and drop it?

 

I did it in August and they were not hooked - there was a driver that was supposed to do his test before me, but I think he bailed. But after we got back from the road test, he had me drop the trailer so I would guess they might be unhooked for the test. But every DC is different.

 

Why would it matter? You are a certified CDL Combinations driver in any of the 50 states correct?
What does union have to do with it ?

 

A guy asked if Walmart hires union drivers and i said i have the pre-trip/road test so i would say they did hire union drivers. Why don't you read and comprehend?? No i can't hook a trailer that's why Walmart is interested in me. Be a smart a#$ to me and i will be one right back at ya buddy
