I heard they cleaned the place up after the flood, but apparently it is still the same ol' dump as it was back in the early 2000s.
Nashville TA and the Atlanta TA were both ****holes. -
thanks for the info guys

There is a lesson to be learned off this.
For those off us who own the trucks,it is advised to check our insurance policy and make shure we are covered in cases like these.
Paying for a lost load might break you.

In my companies case, they are self insured. It was a total loss on the goods.
30,000 lb's of mixed frozen freight that was to be broken down, placed on several other trucks with several other loads and distributed throughout the Midwest. -
My first week hauling sand someone stole my oil from the side compartment, so I always leave, a bait 1 gallon oil with metal shavings put in it for the theives. Closest to the hatch so they grab that one and the other couple of gallons tie wired to the inside so it is, hard for them to steal it without making noise. Nothing worst than metal shavings in a diesel engine. Lol
RockinChair, 281ric, chalupa and 1 other person Thank this. -
This does not surprise me. I had two 20' hoses stolen off my trailer, on the other side of the highway in Dilley. I also had a illegal hanging on the back of my trailer, just outside Dilley. Working south Texas sucks, period !!!!

I lock my truck now, every time I step outside of it. Even at the fuel isle. The thieves are waiting for their chance to take advantage of the working person.Big Duker Thanks this. -
Sigh, The only person whom could be brazen enuff to steal while hiding in plain sight will be an ex-trucker driver. Whom else would be familiar with those subtle performance details on showers & expected length of time away from truck. Curious, do you recall any person whom approached you and simply struck up a conversation...about anything?

I hope you were not going down the road at 65 mph with that illegal hanging on to your trailer.
-
Ha.. I hope he was.RockinChair, ironmule and Big Duker Thank this.
