Well I asked the dealer about temp tags and insurance through them, they have no clue.

Went to DMV to see about temp tags, they say they need proof of insurance and the title which I obviously don't have yet before they can get me a 10 day tag.

Called Progressive to see about insurance, guess they don't do temporary insurance any more.

Guess I will try OOIDA now for insurance.

Still leaves the issue of the temp tags, I guess I will have to go down there, buy the truck, get the title (but will they even be able to get it to me right away? Isn't it usually mailed? WTF?) then go to the DMV and get temp tags?? Jesus.

Just tried OOIDA and now they don't offer temp insurance either??? WTF come on.

Left a message for someone at SNI about trying to get it through them but no call back yet...

Not quite a tow but if I can't figure anything out I may see what the dealer would charge to just deliver it to my house, that way their insurance and plates cover it for the trip here.

I don't think their insurance will cover the truck any more once I've bought it unfortunately.

For what it would cost to rent a trailer I'm sure it'd be cheaper to just have them deliver the truck to me. Plus I don't know if my insurance that I currently carry through SNI would cover me doing something that like that.

So hopefully I'll hear back from the lady I left a message with at SNI. If I can't get some kind of temp insurance through them I guess I'll just have to see if the dealer will deliver the truck to me.
