If someone has a lose of power like that the first thing I usually grab is my bottle of soapy water or a can of ether. No leaks then I hook up prolink to check turbo boost pressure.

Hopefully if you got a new truck you got a new mechanic as well. The charge air cooler and hoses should have been checked when the turbo was put on.

Really Columbia got a bit shorter hood, and simplified dashboard.

Daimler fit Mercedes ML headlamps in columbia.

    All other things are interchangable.

Ok, why do I prefere Century Class?

    1. Bright 7'' headlamps, cheap and better. I fit EU H4 lamps and now I feel that visibility is much better
    2. Longer hood, easy to work on engine
    3. Better dashboard computer with fuel display

Benefits of better maneurability of short columbia... may be... may be, but IMO, if u have to use truck in small yards, look for daycab version ore for cabover with small sleeper. That's why my second truck is Volvo FH.

Somehow you might see more century break down especially with electrical problem than columbia on this forum.

really electrical systems are the same. And I'd say Freightliner and Mercedes wiring are the best on market. This is Daimler thing - good vires.

Bad wiring trucks are Iveco, MAN and International, some Paccar trucks (DAF 95 got bad wires between cab and frame, under cab), surelly all models of Volvo, made after 2002.

OK, some dislikes of Freightliners. It is cheap truck, made cheap, bad cab suspention, runs rought, especially empty, cheap dash plastic, cracks in dash and dash frame, noisy, bad sleeper insolation, cold inside (I solve this problem with 5 kWt park heater).

The wheelbase are the same. Fit columbia or century hood, will the same maneuverability because they use the same steering axles. I like columbia because they are available as gliders and same with coronado. Century, the truck my dad used to have with custom interior and a 500 hp 12.7 detroit.

Really I saw Century class with short hood and short wheelbase, seems to me there are some modifications, that are not popular, but they exist
