I am so glad that you are enjoying your day, honeybadger!
jaso, Pete has no respect for royalty ....go figure .....I think he is afraid I could match him in crankiness!:biggrin_2552:

passport, congrats on the new truck and DM!

Pete, I usually get out the hammer when things aren't working right! I'm glad you thought to call your son first about your headset. The truth is I have to ask the kids about some of this stuff more than I like ......it deflates my Queenly ego!:biggrin_25512:

George, you know that you are doing well when you are being asked to rescue a new driver.

It was late when we got home last night, pulled in the driveway and deer scattered everywhere. The first thing Number Two Daughter said was "Ooooh yummy!".

LOL, Now that got a laugh out of me as I could imagine one of my step kids saying that and then wanting a gun to get one of the deer.

This is a point worth highlighting. This is most important for a new lease driver to understand before signing a lease. In this industry, too many variables to count on anything. It is about learning how to put yourself in the best position to have an opportunity to make miles and money. No sure things and no way to do this with TransAm until you learn the habits and trends of TransAm and it's shippers and receivers.

It is the reason our queen and badger collected and saved a base of data when their sig others where driving. You need the info to give yourself the opportunity.

I think its safe to say that any driver worth anything would be wise to learn the habbits of their carrier and shippers/receivers whether they are company or not if they want to get the loads and the miles.

^Copy that. As a TransAm company driver, TransAm pays the bulk of this learning period. As a lease driver, it is on your dime.

I am not sure why I tend to make this thread my confessional of bonehead mistakes in the trucking world ... but here you go: I managed to run over a box of my own stuff while transferring gear from old truck to new. Think the drive wheels are light when you are bobtail? My cheap cordless drill and extra hot water pot beg to differ. Lucky the rest was mostly old, work out and extra winter clothes. The perfect truck tire tread mark to the back of an old sweat shirt may be a stylistic improvement. Can't wait to walk around with it on at the truck stop.

While cleaning out my old truck, I found the recruitment pamphlet that Panhandle gave me when I met up with him at the Sapp Bros. The one that highlights the benefits for working for his company .... one single tear rolls down my cheek as I write this.

In Kingdom City, Mo. driving tandem with another driver who is making this trip for the first time. I do not like C&S Distribution They stink. Will ask for a different plan when I see them next time on my Treq.

I did not split break did the numbers wrong but will be early for delivery anyways.

    Be safe out there

You can still take 4 days. They got you home late, so tell them your taking an extra day off. You really need to be firm about stuff like this, or it will happen all the time!!!

Nah I got a decent preplan, when I come back out on Monday. Campbell Soup in Maxon NC to Bentonville Arkansas Walmart DC. I really enjoy going to the central part of the country as well as Nebraska Iowa and Minnesota and Wisconsin. I need to get some miles before Junghos car gets reposesed. If I stay out four days I might get stale.
