they deadheaded me once from home to Clovis, I honestly thought they were going to fire me
pretty Recently I was deadhead from Bakersfield to Prosser, WA ( approx 1000 miles) then loaded in Prosser and sent to Newark.
one thing I like about tank is they aren't afraid to deadhead you. it confuses me since deadhead costs the company money, but i'm not complaining.

When I was there they wanted to d/h me from New Jersey to Washington state. I wish I would have took it but that's just to far from home for me. Never seen that part of the country before.

I have an offer from indian river and have tentatively set up orientation for next week. I've hauled dry vans and flatbed and only have a 2 week experience with tankers. Just wondering if someone can give me any info to help me out for my first couple of runs..thanks

Sure. Send me a pm.

Take it easy on your corners and curves. Don't curb your trailer tires when you're loaded. Always check your seal numbers up top and on the back to make sure they match your BOL. If you get paper log books, make sure your fuel stop matches. Calling into dispatch for a pre plan a half day or so before you arrive for a delivery is a good habit too. That way you have your next load already set up and can keep moving. The rest is pretty basic. Feel free to ask for help or advice on here if you need to.knuckledragger and bullhaulerswife Thank this.

Not to change the subject or get in the middle of you guy's conversation, but just wanted to give an update on IRT. After taking 5 weeks off work to handle some things with the wife and relocate, IRT had me return to work by flying me to Phoenix to pick up a truck. I flew out last Wednesday from Oklahoma City, had a 1 hour layover and plane switch in Salt Lake, then on to Phoenix. Took a cab from the airport to where the truck was 40 miles away. Yesterday I did a payroll inquiry on my Qualcomm. Check was $1143.93 after tax. IRT reimbursed me for my flight, $98.50 cab fare, plus paid me an additional $125 for my time spent flying out there. I felt like that was very fair and didn't expect the $125 extra. I still feel this is a great company to work for. With the load I'm on now I will end this next pay period Monday night with 3008 miles. So a grand after taxes which is what I've always averaged before here. Be safe out there.
