You have a good idea. I just don't want to go negative in my settlements cause once you do they find a way to pile on and it is hard to get out of the negative. I would like a week home cause I really can't afford to take more than a day or 2 off a month and this would allow me topassport220 said: ↑I am not into the lease thang but from your posts about a "lifestyle lease" is it not just like a savings account to cover a week of time off? Could you not just set up a direct deposit with a local credit union, new account to keep it separate so you would not use it for routine expenses, deposit the same amount as a lifestyle lease, then earn a tiny bit of interest and also have the flexibility to use it as you see fit, including a week of time off?Click to expand...HometimeQueen and passport220 Thank this.

Never had the suit attitude or the corporate mentality. Too much a humanitarian for that mess. I've lived in so many different places that even I have lost track. I am pretty comfortable with most regions of the US and I appreciate the variety in customs, speech and food.
Now about that entertainment at the reunion .....why don't you just let me plan a nice BBQ and maybe some horseshoes or somethin'. There's no telling what manner of songs Pete learned while he was out fishing for all of those years. You do remember that he's the one that always had his truck washed at the place with the girls in little short-shorts? Whatever we do we can't let Panhandle anywhere near the planning stages!

And George, I'm with passport. We will TRY not to hold your previous occupation against you
In fact, I'm going to pretend that my eyes did not see that word in your post ......you were a wedding photographer before this, right?
(Now, if I did see it, I could say something like "We always did know dispatchers were crazy.....and this one is so crazy that he voluntarily joined the insane asylum!)

Saw you talking to Pamela on FB. The guy she was as with, used to be a friend of mine from the TA days..honeybadger. said: ↑Who do we know? I know lots of people or they know me, lol!Click to expand...

Yes, as a group of truck drivers, we are all appropriately shocked by Pete's truck wash behavior. Who among us would enjoy the good, clean fun of watching lovely buxom young woman do the job that one of our male friends from Mexico would normally do. Shame on you Pete. A BBQ actually does sound great. Horseshoes? Missouri culture has taken hold. How are we ever going to explain to a New Yorker like Jaso what that is? I have a ball field behind the clubhouse, maybe softball afterward.HometimeQueen said: ↑Now about that entertainment at the reunion .....why don't you just let me plan a nice BBQ and maybe some horseshoes or somethin'. Yeah, I thought all traditional New England folk songs where based on profane fishing songs and naughty limericks. That is what I had in mind.
Stop picking on my adorable friend Panhandle.
New driver indeed! Older guy, lease, 6th day out solo, driving a beautiful new 680. Had the demeanor that he was scared that I would yell at him for doing something wrong during the swap, kept calling me "sir". I tried to reassure him, be kind, tell him the steps and forms he needed to follow to complete the swap process. He was so nervous and skittish, likely overwhelmed by the job it made me uncomfortable to be around him.HometimeQueen said: ↑... The BOLs, trailer and weight of the load I got all seem fine. I may never know what was up with this swap (something to do with the follow on backhaul plans?) but it seems like it went ok for me.Last edited: Oct 26, 2014

Gee, where did everyone go???? I wanted to tell you all about my retirement plan ......it is brilliantly evil! All I had to do was follow the protocols of a very successful money making machine!
I discovered some time ago that teenagers are like supertruckers......yes, yes they are. They know EVERYTHING, the only problem is that they fail to follow through with what they supposedly know. They leave trash everywhere! Clothes on the floor! The list is very long indeed. I decided to implement the DOQ, (Department of Queen), and put in place a system of regulations and fines. Clothes on the floor....you owe me a dollar, trash in my jeep....another dollar and the really big fine $2 for a failure to re-roll! ( In other words, no TP in the bathroom) It is a fail proof system! I am getting rich! The King and I will be retiring soon and moving to the Bahamas.
......Actually, they run down the hall ahead of me screaming "Don't go in there yet ...No fines! No fines!"

I actually thought sparring matches sounded like more fun, but I was just trying to go easy on the old guys by suggesting horseshoes. I'll bring earplugs and Pete can sing all he wants. I will do my best to stop picking on the adorable Panhandle.....it will not be easy but I will try.passport220 said: ↑Yes, as a group of truck drivers, we are all appropriately shocked by Pete's truck wash behavior.
