Coming to end of training

I'll be in Springfield next week to upgrade after some home time this weekend. I have to say that I was very fortunate with my trainer and that the experience has been a positive one. To anyone considering getting into trucking, I wholeheartedly recommend coming through Prime to get your start. I'm going to be keeping myself where I belong, south of the Mason-Dixon Line as I have gotten myself assigned to the SE Regional (112) Walmart account out of the Shelbyville, TN DC. Looking forward to getting started as a solo driver.

 

Thanks for the vote of confidence and well wishing. I also appreciate the words of encouragement you and a few others provided while I talked through the rough patches here. It was much more helpful than the douchey comments.

I am hoping this account will be a good fit and am very happy about the opportunity for more frequent home time. I don't know if the wife is though, she seems to have acclimated to me being gone almost too well.

You're half right. It is a Walmart account coordinated out of the Shelbyville DC, but it isn't the slip seat dedicated account and I don't have to live in the Shelbyville area to be on it. I will run primarily WM, but also some others as well. Considering that I found out about the "SE regional" account from the FB page and the guy who handles it also calls it the "SE regional" account and I was told that when I get to Springfeild to tell them that I have already talked to him and that I am going to the "SE regional" account, I'd say that there is a "SE regional" account. Of course I am not the all knowing Iron Pony, so what do I know, right?
