It was designed by men to make sure that those of the female persuasion kept at least one leg looking hot once they entered the profession...
Pmracing Thanks this. -
Yes ! Put it right next to the horn button in the middle of the wheel . Can not be distracted! Just head butt the button. That way both hands can remain on the wheel...

Who had the bright idea of giving the trucks tires and steering wheels?
Why cant we have 2 joysticks and legs like a mech? -
Maybe an adjustable turn knob to gently put clutch engaged instead of on off all or nothing.

I drove a Scania bus that had the directional signals on the floor.

Well... screw the button... I say mount an air cylinder to the clutch throw-out fork and route the air line to air horn lanyard valve.
A pull on the lanyard disengages the clutch. The bonus is everyone will know when you're clutchin'! -
I should have know there would be a video game comparison coming.......uggggg what is this really coming to??? A clutch is used basically when starting and stopping.......is it THAT much effort to lift your left foot? Would you be OK with adding many thousands to the cost of a new truck for electro-hydraulics to control the clutch? And have another system to wear out and break?? Was this even a real question?????
