There's a big difference between OD and HH, you know.
281ric Thanks this. -
And here I was gonna say find something big and put it on a trailer.... 4 days after I got my license, the boss sent me to move a Volvo haul truck. Wasn't bad until I had to turn up the goat trail to the delivery location.

I get more OD experience as a company driver. Learn on there dime, not yours.
dannythetrucker and leftlanetruckin Thank this. -
Learned around heavy haul, 23-years old, own my own truck and run heavy haul/ oversize local. Much different approach than most who got into the industry.
it is true that it's easier to begin with dimensional loads versus weight in my opinion. Weight can take extra consideration of the truck to do it without damaging things and more judgment dealing with traffic. -
What kind of trucks does Midwest have for company drivers? I didn't see it on their website. Been out of OTR trucking for 7 years, getting back in now, I have 12 years flatbed, drop deck, double drop extendable, and RGN tri-axle prior to that.

Kenworth T660's now. Used to be all W9's and T8's, but there seems to be a shortage of them these days.....lol

You shouldnt recommend companies that you don't actually know something about. This is the second time I saw you recommend them and I know for a fact you never worked there.Last edited: Nov 1, 2014
