I liked that Averitt Express facility in GA. Was just there a couple weeks ago and took my 10 on site. And I think most people turn left on that one way street and sight side in at SRA cause its a pain over there.

I'm in Dodge still dying of the plague. The empty I brought in has already been reloaded and left with another driver a couple hours ago but my load still isn't ready. :(

Cranky can be like one of those old muppets in the balcony.

I am in Grayson, Ky. for the night. Would have went further but hate to try and find parking that late. So I figure I stop here for the night. I should be able to get around 700 miles tomorrow so my week will be around 2300-2400 miles with 2 days off or almost 2 days off. Might be out for a long time this time. Around the middle of Dec. but will take 4-5 days off and use my TAL account to help make up for the negative settlement. That way when I resign in Jan they can't use too much of my money to bonus me with.

    Be safe out there

I don't know that I believe the 5-10 minute delay :biggrin_2559:, but this is their press release.

Whoa! I know many of you are driving or sleeping, but the thread sure is slow today! If not for your post, HTQ, it would have been darn near stagnant.

Dennisroc, you haven't posted much lately. Surely you haven't been rendered speechless. Come on, say something. Ya know, Hometime, it appears Gordon has headed for the hills. He never has jumped on the new thread, this one. How about gamma, is he working now?

Well I have a question for whomever chooses to chime in!!! With the severe snowfall predictions this winter, and considering TA doesn't use snow chains/shut down during inclement weather, how in the world are drivers going to make a living? Fifty dollars a day shut down pay, if they even pay it for that, is better than nothing, but over an extended period of time isn't much to live on, Waitingfor your pearls of wisdom!

    passport220 and dennisroc Thank this.

i run the snowiest places in the country
it really isnt as big a deal as one might think
add up the days anywhere that it snows more then 3 inches any day
your in worse shape over ice storms in the south with no equipment to deal with it
Flash saw more snow then anyone last winter and his miles probably were no more then 10% down any one week

chains are not the answer to anything other then getting over a mountain
or into a TS you dont run for hours or days with them
you cant go over 25-30 mph with them on or you will lose them
wear them out and/or destroy tires

I also have a prayer concern, for those of you who pray. My youngest daughter (20 yrs old) has a recurring bout of tonsillitis. It is the virile kind. Her lymph nodes are swollen nearly the size of a golf ball, she's been running high temperatures and been nauseous. Her primarily care doctor even suspected mumps. Thank God it isn't mumps! She has to have her tonsils out (tonsillectomy ) in 2-3:weeks, after she is over the infection and swelling is gone. It has been quite hard for me, her being sick and living about 100 miles away. Even though she is an adult, she's even wished I were there to nurse her back to health! She lives with one of my older daughters, who is a nurse, so she is in good hands. It just isn't the same as me (mom) being there though. She needs me. :biggrin_25524: Prayers welcome.

Snow sucks but if you just take it easy, you'll be ok. Most states are fairly good about getting rid of it. May have to shut for a day, but no more than that.

Not sure why our queen is so resistant, to the outfit I found. It's quite the head turner. Am rethinking it for the princesses tho. They would give us old men heart attacks! !!! :biggrin_2555:

Well wouldn't it be better to avoid that then? Surely it isn't worth having a heart attack! I think our queen is modest. She doesn't like flaunting her beauty, don't ya know? ;-)
