If you were there for a week at $90 per day they owe you that pay.
And if you were getting paid, you were an employee.
If you're an employee you get workers comp if you get hurt on the job.

That said, this isn't the first time you've broken your hand working at trucking. Or the second. Or the third, Or the fourth. Is this the fifth time?
I'd say something is wrong with this story and picture...

I quit them recently and never looked back. Went to a local company and love it. I had it out with one of their trainers as strike one, strike two they wouldn't reimburse me for the rental car, then strike three when they gave me a truck that wasn't street legal when they supposedly strive for safety. I do agree they do teach you good driving techniques etc ("Safe 7") which is useful as a student driver but the odds outweigh everything else IMO. For some people who intend to get on with them beware about certain things they hide and don't tell you about like a CPAP and tools. When they take you to get your physical and the doc says you're gonna need one then be aware because thats $15 thats automatically going to come out of your check. A few guys in my group got one and wasn't happy about it, its a little over $600 i believe (So that's $15 out of at least 40 of your first pay checks). They also take $1 out of all of your checks on top of that for tolls, but they will tell you which tolls you can enter (if you're paying you should be able to go thru any toll you want right?). Now add health benefits which is another $40+ out of each check. And lastly a heads up that they charge you for all your "beginner" tools (trailer lock, vest, fifth wheel lock etc.) which totals out to about $200 (another $10 out of your check). But simply put, good at teaching tricks of the trade etc but get ready to come off of at least $250 ($50 for tolls) ($800 if you need CPAP). And for the folks that have to get CPAP, you can't drive if you don't use it. Something to think about… I think its right that everyone deserves to know what to expect before starting out at roehl...

Yes, they will pop you with a CPAP assessment if your body mass index comes out a certain way.

Sorry had surgery had been approved by two of my doctors a dot doctor by theres and a on site dr. It was my left hand.

The story of my hand being broken.
1st time punched a guy stealing off my truck.
2nd time smacked it a wall wasnt fully healed.
3rd time dropped a transmission on it with dedicated logistics llc gm dedicated route.
4th slipped at roehl left hand this time.

They are very disrepectful in other ways they had a corporate meeting at the marshfield terminal that day and the corporate guys were rude and disrespectful. All in all only good thing roehl had was means to get you there flying rental bus ect and there hotel.

also please excuse my nonsense pain meds.

I might go to swifty or back to schneider though sni has no otr jobs in my area.

You should get your facts straight before making accusations.

    1. The $1.00 fee is OPTIONAL. You CHOSE to do it. And, if you say you weren't told, then you simply don't listen because I know for a FACT you're told in orientation.

    2. The fee for the locks is around $165.00, but it's a DEPOSIT. You get it back when you leave the company.
