If you don't want to put money into a motor why would you want one with a ISX?

Looks like the truck I'm looking for. I talked to fitz and they said that they can't put an autoshift.
That is one of biggest concern an autoshift. I had 2 autoshifts in the past 5 years and I love them, great fuel economy, comfort, better in Philadelphia traffic. Ect. So I thought a out new truck again but the down side is the egr, dpf and too much computer junk so I don't know which way to go? -
Thanks for this info. I don't haul heavy with permits. I run I-80 east of gary, IN most of my runs are Cleveland, oh to the east and back empty. I'll for sure need 6x2 with a lift axle that is what I have now but it is got 600k miles on it and started to like the shop more than the road ( very costly ) the price of the glider is almost as much as a new truck and I don't think I'll keep it for more than 5 years.

My problem is not the engine. It is the egr, dpf, computer that dealers have no idea how to read the codes but yet they charge $120.00 an hour.

Who did you speak with at Fitzgerald about the autoshift?

Got any pics?.
As for what truck to buy, a Volvo. -
I have a 2011 Prostar with a Cummins ISX 500 with 436k on the clock and the thing still runs like it's new..
Now this could be because.
Transmission rebuilt (Under warranty, It bent a shaft.
)
DPF Filter Replaced
Dozer Injector Replaced
Turbo Replaced
Inframe done at 411k (Started eating a gallon of oil per 2k miles)
Head readjusted at 430k
All 6 injectors were replaced (Came back as 3 had failed)
This truck has been a peach.. Nooooo idea why anyone would say such horrid things about emission trucks, all is awesome with the new trucks.
More recently the truck has had some lets call them "modifications" should last longer now.
