In Grand Island for the night. On my way to Norcross, Ga. for Wed. delivery but should be there late morning Monday and they do take you early but not sure about Buckhead Beef in College Park, Ga. Hope fully they do. Would be nice to be empty and ready to roll a day early. We will see.
HTQ I forgot to post about my moving situation, My wife worked out something with landlord and we signed a 6 month lease so now we are protected till 5-1 and we plan on moving then. We still plan on moving to Wi. but not near Cranky cause between his wife and mine they would open a cat kennel.
Be safe out there

Got my trailer washed out and dropped at Tyson Amarillo TX. Load was not ready. Bobtailed to the Flying J in "yellowtown". Will take my 10. If still not ready, will wait until in the morning. Drop dead is 11am Sunday. Load is due midnight in Emporia KS. Don't want to hear about out of route miles to the truck stop. Not getting paid for waiting around either. No toilet here at IBC is my only defense to going to the truck stop then I get here and all the stalls are full. "The state of Texas is full of s____ today," I yelled out. Hopefully a slice of cheese pizza will hold me. I know. TMI. Blog is slow today. Means I have no life. Guess I will take a nap. Deuces.
dennisroc, passport220 and jungHo Thank this. -

jaso, that is great news! I am so glad your wife was able to work it out. It takes a lot of stress off of you both. The spring time will be a much easier move than trying to move during the holidays.
jaso37 and passport220 Thank this. -
Yes, I know about Jeju Air. They started just after I left Korea. A lot of English teachers talking about them due to their low prices. They fly into Thailand also. That is the exact same way I got to Baybay from Cebu when I went back around 2006. Cebu Pacific started flying into Tacloban since then. Have a great trip!!!
Do your best about the San Miquel but I always have Tuba to fall back on

I did see the elk! I like that kind of country, I have been to WY before but not since I was 12 years old on a family trip (only going to Cheyenne with TransAm does not count). I had plenty of time to see it going up the sides of mountains, fully loaded with canned pineapple, at 27 mph with my flashers on, as traffic sped by me at 75 mph.
The gouge was cool, I guess that is the place where it looks like the road is going to run you straight into a mountain but then you curve and twist all around it.
I am limited in my phone choices due to my overseas schedule. I do a monthly plan with Virgin Mobile as I could be out of the country 6 or 7 months of a 24 month contract with another cell provider.
Put in a good word for me Cranky, I'll do a great job for your company ... 7 or 8 months per year
dennisroc and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
Gonna stop at the clubhouse tonight. I have only been in that house for about 2 hours since I bought it. I will sleep in the truck though as I still did not turn on the water or electricity. I'll take measurements in the morning to start buying new carpet and such.
Load has stops in upstate NY, NYC and NJ ..... fuhgeddaboudit ya mo-mo! Get ya car outa my way ya hump! <--------- practicing for the trip.Last edited: Nov 1, 2014

Hey Jaso, the people over at Buckhead are pretty reasonable. It's worth going over there to try! There's a Walmart outside the loop, I 85 exit 64 maybe 10 miles away from Buckhead and Fairburn Family Truck Plaza a little farther away if they won't take you early. Walmart has all these signs about no truck parking or your truck will be booted but they really just don't want people parking for days. You can take a break there no problem and if you walk to get food, just flag down the security person that patrols the lot and assure them you will be returning to your truck shortly. Buckhead is really small, but not terribly difficult. And like I said, the people are reasonable though getting unloaded takes forever.
I am at home, about to roll out for delivery. Yesterday I told Mary the fleet manager to take their service failure and shove it. I said a lot more than that, but that saga is on Facebook lol. She was freaking about me being home today because my truck would surely be stolen and I told her I live in the redneck part of Florida, nit where the Cuban mafia is out hijacking loads. This morning, just to be a butt, I sent a free form message off that said "Darn, they didn't steal my truck yet. Guess the redneck boys aren't smart enough to pull it off." I will deliver tomorrow then pick up Monday afternoon in Leesburg going to Temple, TX. Staying away from snow!!!jaso37, jungHo, HometimeQueen and 2 others Thank this. -
Picked a tub of this stuff up at Wal-mart. $3.50 after using the instant coupon for $.50 off, I thought is was very good heated up in the microwave for a road meal, made 5 nice sandwiches:
On the same topic of stuffing your face, I have been trying to make a point to take two 20 minute walks each day for exercise. I try to get out of the truck stops to do it. Come to find out, the world is not a very pedestrian friendly place.
