dennisroc, I am so sorry about Shelby. It is such a hard loss .....not just because of the companionship but because of the pure unconditional love that they give you. It leaves a huge hole in your heart. Prayers for your daughter and her family.

Gee, passport! You just want it all! ......I forgot that you tethered your laptop to your service. Straight Talk does have a hotspot and a data plan that seems reasonable enough in price, but I have seen a vast variety of opinions in the reviews for it. I think on that part of it the reliability may not be quite up to par yet.

 

I only pay $35 per month for my Virgin Mobile plan. I get 300 minutes of talk time and unlimited text and data. First 2.5 gigs of data is high speed, dialed down in speed after that. For that price I can live with poor coverage in NV, UT and WY since I don't make that run all of the time.

I normally chat, Skype etc. using the data connection so only 300 mins does not bother me .... although for the first time in 2 years, just yesterday, I ran out of minutes for this month. I may have to change to the other plan that gives you less high speed data but unlimited talk time.

 

CY I used to pick up those kind of containers out of Morehead City, Nc. to Buffalo for Schneider and Celedon. Celedon used to consider it a high value load. I would not be surprised that they require the tankers endorsement as you can feel a little bit of surge but do not know anything about a new rule change

 

You beat me to it, jaso! I was just going to copy the regulations and some articles about it. Tankers endorsement would be required according to what I am reading. I believe they changed it in 2012 and gave them until the middle of this year to comply. Here is one article that explains it in understandable language .....
