I have a Carrier on my current truck (non-JCT) and everything camaro said is spot-on. I have had it for almost 2 years and have only had 1 problem with it...the rear main seal went out and it began leaking oil all over the place. That's the only problem I have had with mine and that really isn't bad considering we get our trucks serviced every 30,000 miles and the APU serviced every 60,000 miles (every other truck PM).
Any questions about the Carrier, feel free to ask. -
I had David O.

I have Broderick knox

My previous truck I had almost 5,000 hrs (truck had 435k miles on it when I left) on my Carrier APU before the generator finally gave up the ghost and they didn't want to replace it. LoL
Never had any motor issues with the one I had nor did any of the other guys that was in the dedicated Budweiser fleet in which t here was 30 of us with those APU's. The only issue we had with them was getting the small plastic fuel filter replaced on them. The only place that carried them was a Carrier shop most of the time anyways. But then found out Napa had them in stock as well. LoL -
Got me a nice little run. Drop and hook at Leprino in Lemoore going to Appleton, WI. Got five full days to get it there.
Edit: Drop and hook turned into live load. There are 6 of our trailers here and not a single one loaded. But, that is cool. Means I get to keep this new trailer for another 2200 miles. And by new I mean it has 1955 hours on the unit.Last edited: Nov 5, 2014
Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
Is there some kind of code to the trailer numbers? I have 6338 and it is new, but a 7xxx is older.

Trailers that start with 5 or 7 are TK units.
Trailers that start with 6 are CarrierMachoCyclone and Mr. Mister Thank this. -
Yeah, I had David also. Had him about 4 years. He lasted the longest of all the ones I've had. Gonna miss him.

Got loaded. 10 pallets of cheese for a total weight of 22k. Should be some really good mpg to Wisconsin. Usually it is full trailers and around 40k. But I ain't complaining.
