For teams Tier 3 gets assignments 800-900 miles....Tier 2 gets assignments 900-1200 miles a day and Tier 1 gets 1200 or more miles a day assignments. It also goes on arrival time percentage and stuff like that. We were moved to Tier 1 two weeks ago and our assignments have been insane since. 2500 miles for appointment 46 hours later and the one we are on right now is 2900 miles in 52 hours. Thats back to back so we have to be careful about our hours. Good part is we don't sit at a dock as much anymore. Drop and Hook and relays is about it.
I'll keep you posted on what it does for our miles but for now things look good.
I would definitely ask to be moved to Tier 2 if you aren't already there. I'm pretty sure thats where Softail is already -
I don't want a new DBL. This one has been great. No complaints so far. I have only had to sit and wait for a load, just a couple times. The longest was about hour and a half.
Glad your miles are going up warhippy. I as soon as I say this, things will change. I have not had to look for a trailer for about 5-6 weeks. Holding my breath now.
Drove 490 miles today. Delivered in Grandview early. DH 182 miles to Kent. Picked up a D/H and drove 308 miles to Post Falls ID to fuel. I deliver in Spokane at 11:00 tomorrow. Start home time tomorrow when I get back to Sumner.Grijon Thanks this. -
My poor luck continues. I didn't get the longer load until I arrive in French Camp at about 1500. 730 miles to Grand view WA. Immediately saw that there was no empty task, so I sent a message. Got a reply that the computers were having issues and they would change it ASAP. No changes as of 600 today, so I call in. They add it, but it doesn't get to me. What I hoped was a good empty is damaged, but I can't send an exception because the stop still hasn't shown up. Finally shows up. Now waiting for the reassign on an empty.

taugust, I will be in Grandview on 11/7 for D/H. Leaving around 05:00. Going to Portland for a 3 live load drop.
So that means I won't be home today as planned. Called in and was told, I will be sent straight from Portland to Sumner. Home 2 days late. Wife not a happy camper. This will cost me big time. Will have to use a lot of honey been good points on this one.Grijon Thanks this. -
Happy wife, happy life.

Sorry about your TAH issue. I won't get there until about 1600.

We will be in Tikwula (sp), Washington tomorrow evening. 3103 miles with 61 hours from time of p/u to appointment time. No worries! Told my DBL I needed a delivery with an open delivery time to get our hours right. Chris is spot on but I will only have 4 hours the day after tomorrow. Doesn't make any sense to do a rolling restart because I pick up a ton of hours the day after tomorrow.
I did 648 hours in 9 hours and 50 minutes today. Not bad but it was all Iowa and South Dakota so I should be able to get that much. No pre-assignment yet but I'm expecting something taking us to Southern California. Who knows? That's one of the things I like about the job.
So to recap....Left Denver with a load of dog food last friday night at 2200 headed to California (1058 mile load), dropped that load and D/H to Fontana for a relay headed to Winchester, Virginia (2758 miles), dropped that load and D/H to Maybrook, N.Y. with load coming to Tikwula, Wa. (3101 miles) for a grand total of 6905 miles in 6 1/2 days. That was more what I was expecting when we started. We were late on the first delivery due to having to replace two tires in AZ but it's all good.
Have fun at home when you finally do get there!! -
A word to the wise for those who are interested, Always ask to be home 2 days before you actually need to be so that your not disappointed nor is the wife. If you need to be home Monday tell SNI Saturday so you can get there by Monday.

I will remember to that TennMan. In the past has not been a issue.
After Tukwila, where you headed? Maybe we can meet up.
Drove the 194 miles from Spokane to Grandview yesterday. Already in Portland at the 2nd of 3 live load drops. One more to go and headed North.
