I don't have a beef with you personally, but I hate the erosion of ethics and morals in our great country. I'm far from perfect, but when I give my word - - hell or high water it happens.

If you had a legitimate beef with the school, you could have negotiated a reduction in tuition. Your credit would have remained intact, and most importantly - you would have been able to hold your head high.

Thanks. I appreciate it. Wife no kids, but you are right I did learn from my mistake. Hence why on the second go round I went through WIA office (unemployment) to get private school paid for. It actually took me seven times to pass. Not ashamed to admit it because I didn't give up. I came into trucking never had driven a stick, backing a trailer, and largest vehicle I drove was a Ford Ranger. So, I am proud of my accomplishments because I had to work for it. I gave everything to fulfill my dream. It cost me everything I owned, material possessions wise, but I did it. And before anyone says it, maybe I am not considered a driver because I took 7 attempts to pass. The only person who supported me through all this was my wife. I had told this story in the past and I get made fun of, but i can hold my head up high because I earned it. Not saying others didn't earn it. I have had many people I went to school with at C1 that said they owe me their cdl because I taught them their pre-trips when the instructors wouldn't. They were there to comfort me when I failed and when I passed finally they cried with joy....sorry for the rant but just wanted people to know where I was coming from.

I tried...i filed a grievance with the company that meant the money. Told them everything that happened. They investigated and said too bad, nothing we can do. They offered me $50 off the total amount. They offered a friend of mine $400 when he didn't pay. Explain to me how that is fair.

Course the company isn't going to forgive your debt easily. Contact the better business bureau or something.

Exactly. In my experience, loss of reputation, and the fear of legal proceedings are the two things that get a companies attention. I truly hate having to push these buttons, but sometimes you have to in order to get what's fair. You may not get everything you want, but I've never failed at getting the other party to the table.

It's not the point if they lied or not. The statement was meant for disclosure of what is ahead. I've seen and read about drivers that go to school and once they finish they find out they can not be employed. The school knew what they were getting into and did they come forward and say you're going to have a very difficult time finding work. The schools are there for you to get a CDL and that's all. Besides, I feel it's very foolish to change your career and dump a lot of cash blinding. With all the technology today you can at least have some type of idea on what to expect. 10k is a lot of money to spend for a school that lands you a lousy job. I'm sure there are many that have money problems and are forced into a rip-off like that. If you jumped and did not research all the other programs then hopefully you'll see how detrimental that was and now when you can go to a decent company you'll do a little research.

Yeah, schools are out for your money. I think it's just as much a crime that a college will let some kid spend 50K+ on a poetry degree or something. Hell, that's worse. You don't need your CDL already to look into driving jobs and different companies. If you have a background that wouldn't let you into trucking, you already know those things are on your record and check early about your chance of being hired. People do it on here everyday.

The kind of driving you're talking about is only meant for a certain kind of unusual person and should be the main focus of elimination by the DOT. Come over to Keim TS and drive solo.
