can you do as much with the mechanicals as the electronics? I don't want some darn smokehouse though and that's what you usually see with mechanicals

Nah they will smoke, you should see mine, black smoke everywhere.

You can get a 3406C to 800hp to the tires no problem and have it last, i wouldnt go beyond that do to the block. The E kitty is where its at though.

LOL F that, i got my old man a load to northern FL tomorrow, and load of potatoes back to port huron, mi round trip will be $3/ mile. They had 2 more loads but i told them i need to get rid of this truck and make a deal on the new one first.
